“Grâce à la volonté inébranlable de notre peuple,
nous nous redresserons, nous nous rétablirons et nous nous reconstruirons !“

Le président Isaac Herzog s'adresse aux membres de l'Assemblée Générale Élargie de la WIZO
Janvier 2024

WIZO is Israel's most active and influential social organization.

Main partner of the State of Israel in the field of education since its establishment in 1920 in Great Britain, WIZO works to promote the status of women and educate children and young people. It also works to strengthen Israeli society by improving the well-being of its underprivileged strata of all origins and all religions.

An apolitical Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), it brings together 50 federations on 5 continents and hundreds of thousands of volunteers.

Our vision

Promote an egalitarian, just and enlightened society for all,   supporting
the efforts and actions of WIZO World.

“Acting for priorities” is our “motto”, this is our motto.

To do this, our task is also to make people understand to what extent the “Israeli miracle” also rests on social assistance.

As a member of WIZO we are part of an apolitical sisterhood whose goal is to actively support Israel.

Our contribution connects us to a network of over 250,000 members

across the world who are committed to creating a better life for all who live in Israel, all religious and social backgrounds.

Our engagement

Founded in 1927 in Switzerland, WIZO is today present in Basel, Bern, Friborg, Geneva, La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Zürich and of course Lausanne.

All these Wizeans who come from different backgrounds, share,
beyond their attachment to the State of Israel, common values:

1. A will to act

2. A desire to participate

3. A desire to share

4. A need to transmit
